Top 5 Things to Shoot

1. The Littles
Kids are constantly growing and changing, their personalities becoming more prominent each day.  Every moment presents a unique opportunity to capture a fleeting memory:  the way he wrinkles his nose when he concentrates or the passion she exudes when she dances.  Those are the little things you'll smile about when they're all grown up.

2. A Friend (or two)
Life is so much better with friends.  And you will not want to forget it.  Capture what it is that makes them who they are, what you love about them: their smile, their style, their uniqueness.

3.  A Story
Take the time this week to look for a story unfolding around you.  Capture that moment and its magic.

4.  Hands
Our hands say so much about us.  Some are rugged and scarred---some are unflawed, but they all tell their own unique story.  How can you capture a person just through their hands?  What are they holding?  What's around them?  Get creative.

5.  Yourself
Putting yourself in front of your camera can be a daunting task.  You may feel awkward and uncoordinated.  But it's a beautiful thing to do.  It shows you exactly how you perceive yourself.  Go somewhere alone and take a few self-portraits.  You don't even have to capture your face if you don't want to.  Take a picture of yourself pouring tea (once again, hands are the way to go) or of you silhouetted looking out a window.  It doesn't have to be grand or showy or even seen by anyone else.  Just take the time to hold onto those little bits of yourself.

Basically what I am trying to say, is capture moments.  Moments become memories; and sometimes, you just need to be able to hold onto those moments for just a little bit longer.
