Meka Allgood grew up in a small Tennessee town and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University where she majored in Political Science. As an only child she spent countless hours alone reading and this is where the love affair with the literary world began. Her first professional writing related work was in 2009 as a freelancer when she began writing and editing media kit bios for independent music artists. That work led to opportunities to write press releases for various events around the Nashville area as well as proofread and edit contracts. Six years doing freelance work, while working over 10 years full time in the finance world has given her a unique perspective that few people get to experience. Meka writes on a broad range of subjects that include travel, personal finance, fashion and parenting. She looks forward to blogging and is in process of creating a travel blog. She currently lives outside of Nashville, Tennessee with her two daughters and two dogs.

Nicole Samples is a wife and mother to 2 girls (2 & 4 years old). She has lived in Tennessee for the majority of her life. Her parents raised she and her brother outside of Nashville. Nicole moved to East TN/ Knoxville for 15 years during college and and the start of her “adult” life. Just a few years ago, she and her family moved back to the Nashville area to be closer to family. Nicole has a full time job in Marketing for a worldwide manufacturing/technology company. Her job fits her personality quite well as she naturally tends to ask a lot of questions to have a better understanding of messages being sent, of feelings being expressed and of actions being taken. Nicole feels most at home outdoors, on the lake, in the mountains, wherever nature is at its most pure. She is proud to be a part of meghancobble.com as it challenges her to get out of her day to day “to-do” list, connect more with herself and people like you!
