Allgood's Top 5 Tennessee Wines

Pretty much anyone who knows me and I mean REALLY knows me, will tell you that I have 3 beverages of choice that increase my absolute enjoyment of life.

water, coffee and WINE

My love affair with wine began a few years ago when I was able to have a tasting in a restaurant in which wines were married with foods they were best paired with in order to actually taste the difference. That day was the day that I finally began to understand wine as well as why it was a huge business. Yes, I was officially sucked in to the world of wine. So naturally when I was tasked with writing about My Best 5 this month, it was an easy choice. WINE!

The hard problem was how was I going to narrow it down. I decided to go with my top 5 wines that are made in the state of Tennessee. Below you will find my personal list of the best 5 Tennessee wines that I keep stocked, especially in the warmer months of the year. These wines range from sweet to semi sweet, I have never been a fan of dry wine, so my apologies to the dry wine drinkers. I prefer desert wines, like the blackberry from Arrington Vineyards or something that is good to eat with a good fruit and cheese tray like the Lantana White or Southern Rose and are semi sweet. The Strawberry from Beachaven and Apple Strawberry from Apple Barn round out my top 5 because they both have strawberries. I absolutely love strawberries and the fact that they have been made into fabulous semi sweet wines is a win- win in my book!

  1.  Blackberry – Arrington Vineyards – Arrington, Tennessee
  2.  Lantana White - Stonehaus Winery – Crossville, Tennessee
  3.  Southern Rose - DelMonaco Winery & Vineyards – Baxter, Tennessee  (DelMonaco Winery Train Trip)
  4. Strawberry - Beachaven Vineyards & Winery – Clarksville, Tennessee
  5. Apple Strawberry - Apple Barn Winery – Sevierville, Tennessee

Honorable Mentions

If you are interested in finding out more about some of these Tennessee wines and more, you should plan on coming to the annual Tennessee Wine Festival. This year it will be the first weekend in May and if you are not busy that weekend then it’s the easiest way to find out about the wines that are made in Tennessee.

You will probably see me there!

Being a small business of one, I am most thankful for wonderful returning clients as well as customers who share their love for my designs through word of mouth. I invest in quality and hope for quantity. That's my business model not with just the words that I write, but also with the designs that I create. Facebook is slowly taking small businesses off the map with regards to their social media algorithms. If you enjoy my designs and/or my blog posts, I would appreciate your support. Writing genuine with good content not only involves the writer, but the audience of readers as well.  Your interactions with the words in this space allow our staff to see what interests you most. Thus, giving us all more passion to write. Thanks for your great support!
